Welcome to On The Verge
Sounds on the verge of Folk
Welcome to On the Verge, the site dedicated to sounds on the verge of folk. What do we mean by that? Well, sounds such as nu folk, rogue folk, freak folk and world folk and various folk crossovers into other genres to boot.
We are committed to promoting these sounds, through this site & through live events. In addition to one off all day events & festivals, we put on a monthly showcase of up and coming acts from these genres, 3 each session in fact, at the atmospheric Hand n Heart pub, a pub carved from the sandstone that Nottingham is built out of. Please be involved with the site and feel free to post your comments reviews and recommendations. Let’s freak out folksters!
